Scribbly Gum Landscapes is a reputable landscaping service based on the north side of Brisbane. We offer a comprehensive approach to landscaping, ensuring that all your needs are met from the initial consultation to the design, installation, and maintenance of your new landscape.

Our design philosophy focuses on the use of native plant species, which are not only drought-resistant but also provide a habitat and food for native wildlife. This approach ensures that your garden remains low maintenance while still looking its best. While native gardens have traditionally emulated the natural environment, a wide variety of garden styles can be achieved using native plants. This includes edible gardens, formal or traditional style, cottage garden, rock garden, resort style, tropical or rainforest gardens, and more.

Scribbly Gum Landscapes was established by Timothy Healy in October 2013. Tim started in the landscape industry in 2003, working as a nurseryman and installing and maintaining gardens. He then undertook a Bachelor of Built Environment - Landscape Architecture. His love for nature, the wilderness, and everything green was instilled in him by his parents and grandparents, who are avid gardeners. This foundation of a love for plants, practical landscaping skills, propagation and plant growing abilities, design and construction skills, combine to give Tim the experience and tools to design, install and maintain beautiful, functional and sustainable landscapes.

After spending a year and a half working and travelling overseas, Tim began working for Tract Consultants in 2008. As a landscape technician, he worked on a wide range of projects, including the northern busway stations, streetscapes and community parks for housing developments, creek and vegetation rehabilitation, revegetation and management. Since starting Scribbly Gum Landscapes, Tim has designed and installed numerous landscapes for both residential and commercial properties. He continues to design landscapes that are beautiful, sustainable and utilise native plants that are uniquely adapted to the growing conditions in South-East Queensland.

Design

Our landscape design process begins with an initial site visit to discuss the client's requirements and vision for the space. This step is free of charge. We cover topics such as how particular areas will be used, what garden features will be included, lighting, irrigation, budget, and more. At this point, clients can elect to proceed to the next stage of having a concept plan drawn up.

A concept plan includes a general layout of the included features. It is a plan, drawn to scale and accompanied by an estimate of the cost of installation. This will allow for further consultation and revision with the client before proceeding to a more detailed plan with a quote for the installation. Concept plans may include indicative images and planting palettes.

The detail design, including all relevant designs and drawings, will be the first stage in the construction process. The design, with a detailed quote for the construction, will be presented to the client for final approval before construction commences.

Installation

Installations performed by Scribbly Gum Landscapes work within the client's time frame and budget. We ensure that the installation process is as smooth as possible, with minimal disruption to your daily routine. Our team of experienced professionals is dedicated to delivering high-quality landscapes that meet our clients' expectations.

Maintenance
