Designing spaces for you to make your own.
Melocco & Moore is an architectural design firm that works across a diverse range of residential, multi-residential, community, and commercial projects. We believe in ideas, not in ideologies. Our Clients are our inspiration. Your needs and wants fuel our ideas. We design buildings for people. We design architecture that has a positive effect on your wellbeing. We understand how your body moves through, uses, and feels comfortable in space. Whether it's the site, heritage restrictions, budget, footprint, or amenity, we design for the brief and context and to exceed your expectations. We can work within tight constraints. We think beyond the walls of a building. We design architecture that connects you with your neighbourhood and community, and we design spaces for you to furnish and make your own. We manage projects from start to finish. We offer a full and comprehensive architectural services from brief, concept design, and construction documentation to project management and contract administration. We value our relationships. We have longstanding relationships with our builders and consultants and engage them early in the design process to plan for your budget. We design architecture that lasts. Building for longevity is the most sustainable thing we can do. We design buildings that are appropriate, relevant, and beautiful - now and into the future.
David and Phil met studying architecture at the University of New South Wales. They worked in local and international architecture and engineering firms before establishing their own individual practices. While sharing an office space, David and Phil found a synergy in their approach to architecture and began to work together. Establishing Melocco & Moore in 1993, they have since worked on a variety of projects, including residential, multi-residential, commercial, and community developments.
Our directors, David and Phil, bring a wealth of experience to the table. David graduated from the University of New South Wales in 1987 and has maintained a strong connection with its architecture program as a design tutor, guest lecturer, review panel member, and juror. He is a founding member of the Australian Architecture Association. Philip, on the other hand, began his career in structural engineering before moving to architecture. He graduated from the University of New South Wales in 1988 and became a Chartered Architect in 1989. He has been involved with the University of New South Wales and University of Sydney as a design tutor and jury member and is also a founding member of the Australian Architecture Association.
We love to witness clients moving into a space and making it their own. Happy clients enjoying, using, and understanding the spaces we have created.
