Our Beginnings

Wire Empire Pty Ltd was established in 2012 by Ben MacDonald, a director, and logical technician. Ben's journey began in 2003 when he started an electrical apprenticeship with a commercial electrical and refrigeration company. After completing his apprenticeship, Ben took on extra studies in Advanced PLCs at Tafe, which helped him transition into the Food Manufacturing Industry for the next five years. During that time, Ben was the sole maintenance electrician for the site and played an important role in looking after the site's major plant/machinery equipment. His experience at seeing and hearing about bad workmanship from other tradesman inspired him to build the business that now incorporates air conditioning, refrigeration, communications, and security.
