Our Story

Our journey began in 1981 when German-born Australian Wolfgang Schubert introduced the first gas-lift office chair to Australia. Fast forward to 1984, Accent Office Interiors was founded, and in 1985, Burgtec became a preferred supplier of office seating on the State Government contract. Over the years, our family-owned business has evolved through strategic acquisitions and mergers, culminating in the formation of Burgtec as we know it today.
