A Brief History

Our journey began with Simon Parsons, our founder and chief designer, who grew up surrounded by the world of woodworking. His grandfather, William Oakley, a renowned carpenter, instilled in him a love for woodwork and design. Simon's passion for furniture design and craftsmanship led him to study at Buckinghamshire College in the UK, where he honed his skills and developed his signature style.

A New Beginning in Australia

In 1994, Simon migrated to Australia, drawn by the country's entrepreneurial spirit and abundance of beautiful hardwoods. He founded spFurniture in 1997 and quickly established himself as a renowned furniture designer and maker. His work has been featured in various publications, and his pieces have been displayed in several galleries and exhibitions.
