Our Story
Roy Powell Security has been a locally owned and operated security firm in the Mackay region since 2004. Our Managing Director, Roy Powell, has had over 23 years of experience in the security industry, operating as a sole trader in security systems from 1998 before starting Roy Powell Security (RPS). Today, RPS is run by Roy's son Anthony Powell and his wife Kelli, bringing a well-rounded set of experience to the company.
Our Commitment to Safety
At Roy Powell Security, we take safety very seriously. We regularly engage independent trainers to carry out safety instructions for all new and existing employees. All our staff have the required competencies, including working at heights training, high-risk training, EWP training, and LVR/CPR. We also offer a 24-hour call service to provide added support to our clients.

We love to support our local community and help those in need. Roy Powell Security has sponsored, supported, and volunteered at many local events, including the Immune Deficiencies Foundation Australia, Pioneer Valley Golf Charity Day, M&P Services Golf Charity Day, Sarina Netball Association, and Dumbleton Rural Fire Brigade.
