Our Story

Mulloway Studio was formed in 1996 by partners Anthony Coupe, Steve Loo, Jen Smit, and Felicity Sando, with the aim of working with communities and private clients to develop good places. We believe that every project should respond to its environment, historical context, and embody a strong sense of place. Whether the project is a house, a town square, an office, or a museum, we apply the same inventive enthusiasm and expertise.

Our Approach

We take a collaborative approach to every project, working closely with clients, consultants, and the broader community to produce designs that are innovative, popular, and relevant. Our process relies strongly on consultation, with intensive information gathering, establishing needs, and client briefings. We like to spend time on-site, understanding the microclimate, the landscape, and the people we are designing for.
