Building Homes, Transforming Spaces
Hickinbotham Homes, Adelaide's largest home builder, is reimagining their new selection centre in collaboration with interior design firms Designthink, Enoki and the design team at Hickinbotham Construction Services. The state of the art selection centre will offer Hickinbotham clients a new and exciting experience when creating their future homes in South Australia.
The selection centre incorporates a display module house with kitchen, bathroom, laundry and wardrobe areas. Retail display areas showcase every element of a Hickinbotham home, from wall bricks to gutter types, door types and down to the detail of cabinetry handles. Consultant areas with iPad screens and hi-tech interactivity feature a collaborative area for public works trust selections. Two meeting/consult rooms and an outdoor BBQ kitchen area are also available. A kid's corner with interactive play provides a space for children.
The design features of the selection centre include a base building conversion of a standard office space into a warehouse design facility. Back of house upgrades, a selection/way finding system, and integration of every sample used to make a Hickinbotham house are key features. Polished concrete floors, acoustic exposed ceiling panels, flexible display lighting, selection sample display panels with product storage and way finding system, display pods fixed and mobile for space flexibility, display pods with interchangeable panels for future changes, furniture and decoration selection and procurement, and graphic integration are all part of the design.
