Disappointing Experience with Mackay's Respected Home Builder

A disappointing review from Liana Irving, who gives Reef Properties 1 star. She assumes that since the sales team was helpful, the entire experience would be smooth. Unfortunately, the after-sales customer service proved to be poor, with lacking communication and a lack of responsibility taken for mistakes.

The builder allegedly moved the air conditioning unit without consulting the homeowners, then informed them via email. They also placed a rotary clothesline in an area designated for the daughter's outdoor play area, rather than a wall-mounted one. Despite providing emails and a phone record of the conversation, they denied the conversation ever happened.

Upon moving in, the family discovered multiple issues. Window frames and screens were a constant battle, and they're still waiting for a solution to stop bugs from entering the house. The ducted air conditioning unit took six weeks to fix, and the built-in microwave hasn't worked since they moved in. They also had to pay for extra vinyl planks, which don't match the original ones.

The review also mentions that the concrete wasn't sealed, and they refused to take responsibility for a stormwater pipe running through the yard, which caused additional costs for re-routing the pipe. The reviewer concludes that they would never recommend Reef Properties to anyone.
