Who We Are
Topology Studio was founded in 2012 by directors Amy Hallett and Darren Kaye, who collectively bring over 40 years of experience in delivering complex and unique projects. This experience has given us a deep understanding of the importance of embracing each site's unique attributes, such as its physical landscape and climatic conditions, to create bold, rich, and meaningful places. Our designs combine a design-intensive and creative approach with a robust and process-driven architecture, ensuring that every project we undertake is of the highest standard.
Our Approach
At Topology Studio, we believe that good design begins with a thorough understanding of the place. This understanding is the foundation upon which we build each project, considering not only the natural and cultural landscape but also the urban and historic context. We question and test the brief to ensure that we clearly understand our clients' needs and aspirations, and we use a rigorous design process to develop and test a wide range of possibilities. This process allows us to define the essence of the design, balancing function and poetry to create a unique and meaningful experience.

Collaborations
We believe that collaboration is essential to achieving our goals and producing innovative and meaningful projects. We have a long-standing relationship with John Hallett Art + Design, a renowned artist and designer who creates bespoke timber hardware for our projects. We also seek to collaborate with specialist designers and suppliers to specify locally designed and produced furniture, fabrics, and lighting whenever suitable. Our directors are actively involved in the project process, ensuring that every client receives the highest level of commitment and passion.
