1. Disposing of New Items: Just bought something new? Just got a nice new flat screen TV, iPad, tablet, computer, or laptop? Don't let your guard down when it comes to getting rid of the box it came in. Ideally, wait until your recycle bin is empty, then cut the box up and place it in the bottom so all other recyclables go on top. Recycle night can be like late-night shopping for thieves too, just lift the lid while it's out on the road to see what's new in the house. Try to do the same with the foam when placing it in the rubbish, even if it takes a couple of weeks, nice to be safe.

2. Winter Security: Winter is definitely upon us! And many of you wouldn't think it, but the cold and dark winter weather can increase the risk of break-ins at home. If you travel or your work hours are long, install a time switch lights. Also, a monitored alarm system is an added layer of security that can provide peace of mind.
